Competing in the Wales Rally GB may not seem like the usual way to support BEN, the automotive industry charity. However after SWP Training Ltd had entered the event, they saw an opportunity to use it to drum up support for their industry charity.
SWP Training are specialists in the field of automotive training and qualifications. Colin Payne, Operations Director at SWP Training, is in the driving seat at the rally which will see the car hurtling round the course displaying the BEN logo to fans. SWP Training will also be handing out information about BEN throughout the event which is taking place between 15th- 17th November 2013.
Commenting on the rally, Colin Payne added “We found the Wales Rally GB offered us a great chance to celebrate our new qualification whilst helping BEN at the same time. We are delighted that we can offer BEN support in raising awareness at the rally and we can’t wait to get on the starting line.”
Nigel Rothband, BEN’s Chief Operating Officer, commented “Colin and the SWP Training team have thought of a really innovative way to raise both funds and awareness for BEN. New ways of increasing our exposure are always welcome as we want to ensure BEN’s name is spread far and wide across the automotive industry; This ensures more people will know BEN is here for them in times of need.”
